Systems, Routines, Overthinking.... (Summmary of the week)

 yooo!

Excited about not having to meet in person, I filled my calendar with other things. You know those Quadrant 2 tasks(See Table 1.1 Below) . See class for me sometimes can feel like a quandrant 1 thing. However, after looking at some of these projects and how open for trasnlate the project itself is. I decided to start moving Ydev tasks and responsilibilties to quadrant 2. Ok, but why are you talking about the priotity matrix build by covey? Well becasue I think our questions and research itself is a quadrant 2 task. taking time to really analyze the question you want answers to. How does it inspire you? what impact can it bring? can this be a tangible project

used in the future to build a business around? How does my current self help literature guide me in the questions I'm asking? what about the podcasts I listen to , the interviews I digest? Isn't this all data that can be used towards my big question?

What is the question?

Great Question...

Well I'm really curious about how after-school sports and athletics play a role in the molding of a young adult. How can these sports be replicated and reproduced to the masses through after school programs so they are inclusive to all people who may lack access to a coach or mentor? Is that that question? How does having a mentor or role model impact the maturity of young adults? What is maturity? Next question, didn't like the previous one. What about how can after-school programs like "Cave of Adullam" in Detroit, Career programs like they have in Baltimore? How can that be replicated in any city so every youth has access to mentors and role models no matter the area of interest, no matter the zip code.

(Table 1.1)

In Closing, I'm now scheduling time in my calendar for more of those high-leverage Q2 tasks. Those are the tasks that if you don't watch out, youll be in the Adams library at 7:21pm on a night when you dont have class. Dont be like me, be proactive and schedule those high-priority tasks that are important but not urgent.

Comments

  1. I am printing the four quadrants for my office. But seriously, I love this project idea. I just want to see you focus in on something that feels more narrow than you are right now. What are you going to contribute to the conversation that hasn't already been said? What knowledge are you going to produce here?
